Patrol Rifle Class

You must complete the Advanced Handgun Class before registering.

• Rifle – The class is based on AR-15 type of rifle. However, we had had various types of semiauto platforms. Bring what you have.
• Caliber – 5.56/223, 300 BO, 7.62X39, etc. are the most common.
• Rifle – Optic- Red Dot, holographic, iron – all good.
• A magnified hunting scope on the rifle will not be good for this class.
• LPVO 1-6, 1-8, etc. is also acceptable.
• Rifle Magazines – at least 3
• Rifle sling – Dual point attachment preferred.
• Duty Handgun
• Handgun holster – attached to a sturdy belt.
  • IWB. OWB, Appendix –
  • Duty worthy, Made for the handgun, not a nylon sock.
  • No Blackhawk Serpa 2 types.
  • You will shoot prone, so appendix may be painful.
• Handgun Magazines – 1
• Handgun Magazine Holster
• Ammo –
  • Rifle – 300 rounds plus
  • Handgun – 100 rounds
• Eye and ear protection
• Ball cap
• Belted pants
• Tuckable shirt/T-shirt
• Study footwear / Boots
• Rain gear (just in case)
• Shooting mat or ground cover
• Water and food for 1 day
